I discovered Paris in May 1979.
I had a meeting at métro Lamarck-Caulaincourt.
When I walked out of the tube station,
I had an epiphany, I decided that was were I would live.
I spent over 15 years in Montmartre
and discovered that while for many Paris was just the French capital city,
for me it was like a multitude of villages.
As I became a photographer, it is this Paris I wanted to capture
far from the Grands Boulevards and Champs-Elysées.
